Connective Tissue Gene Tests (CTGT) is a CLIA-certified diagnostic laboratory in Allentown, Pennsylvania, dedicated to offering a broad range of genetic testing for inherited disorders. Our company performs testing for institutions worldwide. CTGT is a rapidly expanding company and is continually adding new tests. CTGT remains at the forefront of new testing methodologies and technologies.
CTGT is seeking a full-time genetic counselor to join our team. The position is available immediately. We offer a competitive salary, benefits, and relocation assistance.
Responsibilities will include:
Providing customer service to referring physicians and genetic counselors concerning our tests and related issues. CTGT is a diagnostic laboratory and does not provide counseling for patients.
Generation of patient reports in collaboration with the Directors.
Exhibitor representation. CTGT attends scientific conferences, and this position will require travel to meetings in order to represent the company.
Assist laboratory staff with accessioning inquiries.
Assist with new test development.
Participate in internal quality management program. This includes review of genotype-phenotype correlation and patient safety issues.

Interested candidates should have a degree from an accredited genetic counseling program, be hard-working and attentive to detail. ABGC/ABMG board certification is not required. The candidate should be organized, able to problem-solve and have excellent communication and writing skills.
